So they ignore the scriptures that are totally contradictory to their own personal interpretation. All scripture has to agree with other scripture.

These people have done the classic use a few scriptures to support their own ideologies instead of interpreting scriptures according to the full Word of God. When we interpret the bible selectively we get such false teachings.
The Ten commandments are part of these laws. Jesus also said that not one jot or tiddle of the law would pass away except that which is fulfilled (pertaining to some rituals & laws where Jesus fulfilled them by his death such as sacrifices for the forgiveness of sin & other some others). I can't recall the verse off the top of my head I am sure you can do a search & look it up. While Jesus summarized the Ten Commandments he did say that He came to Fulfill the Law not destroy it. We no longer need the Ten Commandments at all. This is not the first time I have heard this & I saw this actually yesterday on Facebook. “Dear Christian reader: Why? Why? Why would we even be tempted to reach back beyond the cross to borrow from a covenant that was temporary and inferior to the covenant established for us at Calvary?” Stanley continued. This new commandment is "a replacement for everything in the existing list. “Participants in the new covenant are expected to obey the single command Jesus issued as part of his new covenant: as I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
“Participants in the new covenant (that’s Christians) are not required to obey any of the commandments found in the first part of their Bibles,” wrote Stanley. " If we’re going to create a monument to stand as a testament to our faith, shouldn’t it at least be a monument of something that actually applies to us?" he posed. In a column published by Relevant Magazine, the North Point Community Church pastor argued that the Ten Commandments are “the old covenant” and no longer apply to believers. Christians should quit erecting Ten Commandments displays and should instead consider making monuments dedicated to the Sermon on the Mount, popular pastor Andy Stanley said.
